Pryce to use Cambrian as warm up for WRC debut
17 year old Osian Pryce will contest the forthcoming Cambrian Rally as a practice event for his World Rally Championship debut! Aberangell based Pryce, who only passed his driving test in early March, will use the same Ford Fiesta ST with which he has already taken four class podiums this year!
Osian will be co-driven by Iestyn Williams on both events and the pair are supporting a Welsh sporting initiative organised by a local school called Ysgol Botwnog. They have received backing for this venture from Sbardun Motorsport, Morris Plant Hire and S.J & S Williams Contracting and the teenage rally driver is well aware that all eyes will be on him this weekend; this year has been fantastic and every rally that goes by is a big learning experience. The Cambrian will be good practice for Wales Rally GB as the roads are similar and the weather conditions can make things tricky -- last year there was black ice in places!
The Cambrian Rally takes place on 16 October and is based in the seaside town of Llandudno. The event uses the world famous stages of Clocaenog and Penmachno and will prove to be a real test of both man and machine!
