Forty six crews have entered the Troodos Rally, a round in the FIA Middle East Championship, and will start out from Eleftheria Square on October 20th.
The Troodos Rally, organised by the Cyprus Automobile Association, has received foreign entries from Greece, the UAE, and Great Britain.
Ioanis Papademetriou, from Greece, who is competing in the Teams Cup of the World Rally championship, has submitted an entry, and will be driving a Subaru Impressa. He was in Cyprus in June for the Cyprus Rally 2001, but was forced to retire.
Nicolas Mandrides and Yiannis Joannou, both permanent residents of the UAE, will be travelling to Cyprus to mount their challenge in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI.
From Great Britain Yiannis Ioannides will be also be competing in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V1.
Amongst the Cypriot entries are Andreas Tsouloftas with co-driver Andros Achilleos, and Chris Thomas and Andros Christodoulides, with both teams also in Mitsubishi Lancer Evo V1s
Compatriots who will line up against them include the teaming of Sotos Tricomitis and Georgios Georgiou in a Suzuki Baleno, and Simos Galatariotis and Loizos Louca in a Honda Civic.

Troodos Rally Clerk of the Course, Demetris Ioannou said, "The route is ready, and the teams will start their reconnaisance from the 13th October until the 17th October. Scrutineering will be at the Opel Garage in Nicosia on the 19th October, starting at 14.30."
The Troodos Rally will start at 08.00 from Eleftheria Square and will cover a total of 249.03 stage kilometres between Saturday and Sunday, 20th and 21st October, finishing back at Eleftheria Square on Sunday afternoon at 16.15.
The Headquarters and press office for the Troodos Rally will be at the Kleopatra hotel, where up to date results will be available.
