Pritchard to use Tempest as warm up for Wales Rally GB
Builth Wells resident Jason Pritchard will use this weekends JLT Rally South of England Tempest Rally as a warm up session ahead of his four wheel drive World Rally Championship debut on next weekends Wales Rally GB. Pritchard will contest both events at the wheel of his North Road Garage supported Subaru Impreza N2010.
Pritchard has impressed mightily in his first season in a four wheel drive, taking a pair of outright rally victories and finishing the 2010 MSA British Rally Championship as top privateer in third position overall! 22 year old Jason will be aiming high this weekend when he travels to Aldershot. In 2009 the double British R2 champion won the two wheel drive section of this rally in a Citroen C2 Max and has his sights firmly set on a similar result in the four wheel drive section!
I am really looking forward to this weekends Tempest Rally. It's a well run event and I really enjoy the stages. We won the two wheel drive rally last year and it would be good to do the same on the four wheel drive event but competition is tough and I have to be a bit careful. Wales Rally GB is only a week later and I can't afford to do anything silly so close to such an important rally!
The JLT Rally South of England Tempest Rally takes place on Saturday 6 November and is based in Aldershot, near London. The first car departs from Pegasus Village at 9am and will tackle four unique stages, each used twice, throughout the day.
