2003 ended with another high for Irish rally driver Shaun Gallagher when on December 31st, with 15 minutes to close of entries, he managed to finalise a deal to compete in the 2004 Swedish Rally.

Shaun will compete in a Mitsubishi Evo VII and will be part of a two-car team run by Davy Greer Motorsport, with fellow Donegal driver, Martin Doherty, in an Evo VI. The 2003 British Peugeot 206 Super Cup champion will be partnered by regular co-driver Richard Pashley.

The trip, which will start the 2004 season for Shaun, would not be possible without the support of long term backer and mentor Tommy Mullen of Mullen Express Transport in Sligo and Shaun is indebted to Tommy for his support.

The event takes place in 5 weeks time, on the 6th -- 8th February, and is based in the city of Karlstad in Central Sweden.
