Cody Crocker has produced the drive of his career to finish second in Group N at Rally New Zealand, a brilliant effort in only his fourth World Championship event. The Team Subaru driver led after day one, slipped to second on day two and then mounted a concerted charge on the final day to finish just 9.2 seconds short of the eventual winner, Austrian Manfred Stohl, and in 8th place outright.

The 28-year-old has made an enormous impression on the hardened rally watchers of the circuit with the speed and control of his Impreza WRX across the 373 kilometres of the event. Crocker's mentor, the four time Australian Rally Champion Possum Bourne, also produced a superb effort across the three days to bring his Impreza WRC home in 6th place, easily the best of the non-factory drivers.
