Leg 1: Ordynski leads but challengers close

Mitsubishi Australia's Ed Ordynski has powered his way into the lead after the first Leg of the Rally of Canberra, but with Subaru's Cody Crocker and Possum Bourne literally breathing down his neck the South Australian will be pushed hard during Leg 2.

Ordynski currently leads Crocker by a slender 5.7 seconds after the first days action in the forests of Canberra while Bourne, who led the event after the opening four stages but dropped time over the final two after handling concerns slowed the Kiwi charger, lies just 0.2 seconds behind his Subaru teammate.

Trailing the leading trio, Spencer Lowndes and Dean Herridge are locked in a tight battle with Kiwi Geof Argyle; the three drivers are covered by just 10 seconds leading into Leg 2.
