David Wilks has accomplished what most can only dream of. At 31 years old, not only does he own the Wilks Design Racing Team, but he is the driver as well.

He has amassed a vast racing background in numerous venues which include APBA Tunnel Hull & offshore boats, Silver State Classic, PCA, Viper Days, Ferrari Challenge, SCCA Championship Autocross, SCCA Club Racing National Wins, and Experimental Aircraft.

Add to that the many years he has under his belt as a driving instructor on an array of different race tracks, and you have the combination for success.

The team, located in Sugar Land, Texas, had originally hoped to compete last year, but decided to postpone their debut until the 2000 season for a better shot at winning "Rookie of the Year" honors.

They plan to run their Chrysler Neon ACR/GTS for the complete SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge Touring Class schedule this season.

"I am confident that I have the talent necessary to compete with the best of the best in this class", said David Wilks.

Associate sponsors for the team include TNT Motorsports, Electromotive, Polymer Dynamics, Auto-Meter, Mark Griggs Fabrication, and ProAm of Houston.

"I want to thank our sponsors, whose support has allowed us to build a World Class car," said David Wilks. "We hope to showcase many talents of those who contributed to our team. "

"TNT Motorsports can be recognized as the builders of the fastest Dodge Vipers in the World with their top of the line model producing 644 RWHP normally aspirated. I will be driving the TNT KingSnake in this year's One Lap of America. With TNT Motorsports assistance, I am sure that the world will see the fastest Neons soon to follow."
