Tooele, UT. - TRG-AMR heads to the Great Salt Lake for competition in the final round of the team’s first ever season-long effort in Pirelli World Challenge competition. 2014 was an incredible year that saw numerous ups and downs in what many are now calling the most exciting GT racing competition in America.

Through the ups and downs, TRG-AMR was able to learn more than ever anticipated, growing the team’s competitive presence in the series while also providing incremental and important development to both the V8 Vantage GT4 and V12 GT3 models.

Clayton Julian, Engineer, Aston Martin Racing: “TRG-AMR has provided us at the factory with an incredible amount of data this year, specifically from their World Challenge program. We’ve made institutional changes to the GT4 platform across the board - setup, aero, engine mapping - a good portion of that development has come from TRG-AMR.”

Kevin Buckler, CEO, TRG-AMR North America: “2014 has been an amazing year for us - this is the first year we’ve ever campaigned the entire season of Pirelli World Challenge and we of course learned a lot but couldn’t be happier. The people, the rules, the cars, the competition - all of it is really top notch.

Our three season long drivers are also due a great bit of thanks - Jorge (De La Torre), Nick (Esayian), and Drew (Regitz) have all been star performers this year in their own way and really helped the team become a force to be reckoned with. This was Jorge’s first time racing in an American series and in an Aston Martin - he’s come so far in his confidence and abilities as a driver, we’re really looking forward to seeing what he will be capable of next year.

Nick is a World Challenge veteran and it shows. He really knows the track, the people, and knows how to take the fight to his competition. Hopefully this last round at Miller will help us get Nick up on the podium where he belongs. Drew started with us last year for a couple of races and turned it up to a full season this year and has definitely surprised a lot of people with his incredible pace. Let’s wait and see what he has in store for us next season.

This year also saw some great additions at select venues with Tomy Drissi joining the team at Long Beach, Santiago Creel and Derek DeBoer being a welcome addition to the team at Sonoma, and lets not forget Christina Nielsen’s debut in the GT3 at Sonoma which resulted in a podium finish.

Stay tuned for even more from TRG-AMR as we continue to race in the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship and Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge series, as well as the GT4 Challenge of North America. There is no off-season for us - we’ve already planned out a detailed winter testing schedule for interested and qualified drivers and are already looking at championship runs for 2015."
