Henzler looks to Mid-Ohio after disappointing Atlanta race

April 17, 2005-Braselton, GA -- Wolf Henzler, driving the Applied Materials Farnbacher Loles Racing Porsche GT3 Cup, was running strong during the 3rd round of the 2005 Speed World Challenge GT series. Having qualified 4th on the fast, rolling Road Atlanta road course, Henzler was showing his outstanding driving skill and the excellent handling of his Porsche by moving up to 2nd during the race. Henzler's pass of Max Angelelli for 3rd earned him his 2nd consecutive B&M Oil Coolers "Cool Move of the Race."

Henzler was looking good for his first podium finish of the season, when on lap 24, while attempting to pass a slower car, Henzler's Porsche was clipped by the slower vehicle. While the body damage was minimal, the radiator was punctured which forced Henzler to retire on lap 25. The Applied Materials Farnbacher Loles Racing Porsche was unofficially listed in 22nd position in the final results.

Said Henzler after the race, "The car was running very well and I feel we could have gotten a podium finish. But these things happen in racing. We now have to look to Mid-Ohio and rebound from this incident." After 3 rounds of the 11 race series, Henzler is 6th in the point standings and trails leader Tommy Archer by only 37 points.
