"Briggs & Stratton is proud of its association with the legendary Beach Boys and the Beach Boys Racing Team -- and their BMW "Little Deuce Coupe" racecar driven by Rene Villeneuve," said Dan Wilson, Director of Motorsport at Briggs & Stratton. I know that Road America is a world famous race facility and it will be a great venue for this Speed Channel race. Rene Villeneuve is no stranger to on-track performance. The multi-faceted driver has raced in Canada's Formula Ford 2000, the Barber Saab Series, Speedvision Cup, Japan's Formula 3 and most recently at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona.

"I'm very grateful for the support of The Beach Boys," said Villeneuve. "I've known the band for a long time and it's really nice of them to provide me the opportunity to race with them. Briggs & Stratton has been nothing short of a dream sponsor. I consider myself very lucky and very humbled by their support. I will do my best for the Briggs & Stratton / Beach Boys Racing Team!"
