LEXINGTON, OHIO (June 29, 2002). The Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Team again shows competitors why they are consistently the team to beat on any given weekend. Today's qualification session at The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course saw Team Owner Will Turner dominate most of the on-track session, leaving competitors chasing their own set-ups.

"The competition level in touring car is really second to none," Turner commented afterward."It was tough to get a clean lap with all of the traffic out there so, once again, I am elated with the level of preparation done by the whole Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs Team."

Preparation is certainly something that was on the mid of the whole Turner organization following their last event at Lime Rock Park-- their home track. With a large number of entrants in the touring car race, aggressive driving became the order of the day, leaving all three of the usually flawless Turner-prepared E46 BMW 325i racecars covered with battle wounds. Fortunately the SPEED World Challenge schedule gave the team just enough time to send their cars to the body shop, diagnose problems and even develop a new set-up for this event along with next weekend's race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

STATS - Mid-Ohio Qualifications.
Will Turner (#92 Turner Motorsport / H&R Springs BMW) 1:40.920 (2nd)
Bobby Sak (#93 Turner Motorsport / NCMEC BMW) 1:41.649 (10th)
Frank Selldorff (#94 Turner Motorsport / FAN-Vision BMW) 1:41.849 (13th)

This weekend's SPEED World Challenge Touring Car event from The famed Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will be broadcast on The SPEED Channel (formerly Speedvision) on Saturday, July 13 at 9 PM Eastern.
