BimmerWorld On Schedule for Mid Ohio SPEED World Challenge Touring Car Race

While the downtime between the April 3 St. Petersburg race and the May 21 Mid-Ohio date may seem a long wait for most SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge Touring Car teams, for James Clay and the BimmerWorld crew the time is flying by.

Since arriving back at the shop after the St. Petersburg race, the BimmerWorld team has have been developing their all new BMW E90 race cars.

"Everything is going well," said James Clay, BimmerWorld owner. "We've had the car on track on had a very successful test. We'll be back out again this weekend. The best news is that due to incredibly hard work from the guys in the shop, we appear to be right on track to unveil two new cars at Mid-Ohio later this month."

The appearance of the E90's should really be exciting for BMW fans. The cars carry all the new BMW styling queues and strike a very aggressive stance. And though the cars are sporting a slightly redesigned graphics package, BimmerWorld fans will immediately spot the traditional two tone blue and gold trimmed BimmerWorld colors.

BimmerWorld is the first US team racing the new E90s in North America.

The 2006 World Challenge Touring Car Championship next takes to the track May 19-21 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
