Gastonia NC, May 24, 2004- Following a 6th and 7th place finish in the Drift Atlanta Touring car invitational, Tindol Motorsports has been busy making changes and preparing the SparcoUSA/Oakley Mazdaspeed Protégés for the Mohegan Sun Grand Prix weekend.
"All of us at Tindol Motorsports are very happy with the way the season started" stated Chris Tindol. "The competition in the Speed World Challenge series is tough. This is only our second race in the series, so we feel like we are right where we need to be."
Scott Fredricksen, driver of the #96 SparcoUSA/Oakley Mazdaspeed Protégé currently sits 10th in the championship standing and 2nd in the rookie of the year standings. "I am really looking forward to racing at Lime Rock on Memorial day. The Tindol Motorsports crew has been working hard since Atlanta and we are all excited about getting to Limerock" said Scott Fredricksen.
Chris Tindol, driver of the #97 SparcoUSA/Oakley Mazdaspeed is also looking for a good result at Lime Rock after a disappointing finish at Sebring. "We had some mechanical issues at Sebring and therefore the result was not indicative of how good the car really was" stated Tindol. "This is a new team and we are learning more and more every day. We have made improvements to both cars since the last race and are excited to get back to racing."
The Speed World Challenge Touring race will be held Monday May 31st, at 2:10 pm and will air on Speed Channel June 6th at 12:00 pm
