July 3, 2005 - Farnbacher Loles drivers Wolf Henzler and Ricardo Imery battled difficult handling cars all weekend to post strong drives at the Lime Rock round of the Speed World Challenge GT series. During the practice and qualifying sessions, it was clear the Porsches would have a tough time on the historic 1.53 mile circuit in northwestern Connecticut.

Driving the #55 Applied Materials Farnbacher Loles Racing Porsche GT3 Cup, Henzler battled understeer to post an 8th place qualifying effort. Venezuelan Ricardo Imery making his Speed GT debut at Lime Rock, looked good in practice, but a late session incident caused some damage to the car. While the crew worked hard getting the car ready for qualifying, Imery's Porsche also had some handling issues as evidenced by his 18th place qualifying effort.

During the race, Henzler battled the front-runners to eventually finish in 5th place. His pass of Andy Pilgrim's Cadillac on lap 43 for 5th earned Henzler the B&M Oil Coolers "Cool Move of the Race." Henzler had never driven the technically difficult Lime Rock track prior to the race. After the race, Henzler discussed his effort. "While the track is challenging, our set-up was just not there. After Cleveland though, it was good to get some points."

Perhaps the day's most impressive drive came from Ricardo Imery. Driving the #07 Cavenas Elevators Farnbacher Loles Porsche GT3 Cup, Imery quickly drove through the pack and had made it up to 9th place. Continuing his move forward through the field, a power steering failure ended his race prematurely on lap 27. While disappointed with his DNF, Ricardo was optimistic about his future in Speed GT where he will run a limited schedule for the rest of the season. "Certainly we would have liked to have finished the race. I was able to pass a lot of cars and did well on the restart. I think I've shown that I belong here and I am looking forward to my next race with the team."
