The Farnbacher Loles Racing team put on a strong performance in qualifying for the Speed World Challenge GT season finale at Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA. Wolf Henzler and teammate Lawson Aschenbach drove their Porsche GT3 Cup cars to first and forth on the grid. The race should be very competitive as the top ten cars are separated by less than a second. Henzler posted a 1:30.387, followed by Cadillac driver Max Papis in second with a 1:30.539. Henzler's performance mirrors last year when he also grabbed the pole in his first race at the Laguna Seca track. Said Henzler after qualifying, "The team did a good job as usual. We had a very good set-up for the conditions. I like the track and considering I took the pole and won the race last year I hope I have the same result and I can help win the championship for Porsche."

For Lawson Aschenbach, making only his second Speed GT start, the results were quite good. "Qualifying was a relief actually after practice, which did not go as well as expected. And Friday night's rain changed the track conditions from our practice sessions, but I adjusted and I was able to get in a good lap. I'm very happy with our effort. Thanks to the Farnbacher Loles team for getting me back in the car. They continue to prove how great they are as a team and how experienced they are at car set-up."

Sunday's Speed World Challenge GT finale will be televised live at 5pm eastern on Speed Channel.
