It was an exciting day at Barber Motorsports Park and the Pirelli World Challenge drivers did not disappoint.
Johnny O’Connell took the GT victory in Austin, Texas while Lawson Aschenbach grabbed the GTS victory. Ryan Winchester was the overall victor in the Touring Car class while Ernie Francis Jr won in the Touring Car B-Spec class.
Andy Pilgrim took the GT win in his Cadillac CTS-V.R while Brandon Davis earned the GTS victory in the new TRG-Aston Martin.
"There is no other FR-S like this one in the world. We have the only FR-S utilizing the TRD supercharger," said Ken Stout, KSR Team Principal.
O'Connell secured his second straight GT Drivers' Championship meanwhile Aschenbach achieved his third Pirelli World Challenge title.
In the second race of the Pirelli World Challenge event in Detroit on the Belle Isle street circuit, Randy Pobst took the GT class win while Dean Martin took home the GTS victory in his home race.
James Sofronas earned the Pirelli World Challenge GT victory on the Circuit of The Americas. The GTS class win was taken by Andy Lee. For the Touring Car race, Brett Sandberg grabbed the win and Ernie Francis Jr. took the Touring Car B-Spec win.
In the first race of the weekend at Lime Rock Park, Mike Skeen won the GT Pirelli World Challenge race and Lawson Aschenbach took the honors in the GTS class.

The Pirelli World Challenge Round 11 at Mid-Ohio ended with Figge earning the first race of the double header weekend. Wilkins took the honors in GTS. In the Touring Car races held on Saturday, Cooper sweeps TC and Francis Jr, Davis split TCB.
Takes first of two races this weekend
Alex Figge was strong this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for his second GT victory. In GTS second race of the double-header, Lawson Aschenbach took the top honors.
On the street circuit in Toronto, Cadillac Racing finished 1-2 with O'Connell and Pilgrim. Aschenbach notched another victory GTS n his Camaro.
O'Connell and Pilgrim netted Cadillac Racing its first 1-2 finish of the season. Baldwin earned his third victory this year in his Porsche Cayman.

O’Connell can repeat his 2012 GT class sweep in Detroit on Sunday. In GTS, Wilkins also led flag-to-flag for his victory on the Belle Isle street circuit.
