Moses Smith wins the Cadillac Grand Prix.

Battling around a racetrack designed across the parking lots of RFK Stadium, Moses Smith records his second North American Star Mazda Pro Race win. Moses started the race from pole, leading his twenty-seven fellow Star Mazda racers toward the green flag.

However, the running order did not stay that way. Around the tenth lap, Scott Speed (currently second in the points battle) passed Moses. Caught up in lap traffic, the gap between Moses and first place widened.

"The Cadillac Grand Prix track is mostly short straights and hairpins. I really liked the feel and challenge," Moses had commented before the race.

Smith managed to take advantage of the yellow flag restart on lap twenty-six and slipped underneath the competitive Scott Speed. Despite challenges from Speed at every remaining corner, Moses held on to the lead to take the treasured checked on lap twenty-eight, by a mere .025 interval.

A spectator excitedly reported, "I was able to see the entire race on the television screen they had set-up for us. This was the most exciting race I have seen this year!"

Moses' #76 HASA Pool Product/R-Sport race vehicle was equipped with an "In Car Camera". The race was televised and is scheduled to air on the SpeedChannel on August 17th.
