Team Apex USA Race Recap from Autobahn
Rounds Eight and Nine of the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear

Brownsburg, IN (July 27, 2009) With a rookie driver and an experienced team venturing into a new race series, the Harrah's Autobahn Country Club Grand Prix 2009, presented by Mazda in Joliet, Illinois proved to be a great learning experience for Team Apex USA.

In round eight of the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear, Robert Kaminsky, driver of the No. 57 Mazda in the master's series event, finished 13th on the grid. "We were pleased with this finish for our driver. He's still learning how to drive the car properly, having spent most of his time driving the old car which required a completely different style," said Louis D'Agostino, Technical Director for Team Apex USA.

Prior to the start of round nine, the Team Apex machine experienced a driveshaft failure at the start of the parade lap which took them out of the race. Martin Bates, Team Manager said, "This was a tough break, however, this was a good weekend overall for the Team Apex crew. Spending time with the series to experience the ins and outs of how it operates was beneficial."

Team Apex is now preparing for more testing with the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear series and plans to take part in another event prior to the end of the season
