Joel Miller began his career in Star Mazda this week where he attended the first major test of the year with reigning Champions JDC Motorsportat Sebring International Raceway. Several top Star Mazda Championship teams took to the circuit that will host the first round of the 2008 Championship in Mid March.

With clear skies and temperatures in the seventies, Joel quickly acclimated himself to his new race car and the new circuit. He quickly was on pace of the fastest car, working his way down to a lap time ofr.02.09, only 0.2 secs off the quickest lap of the 2 day test, however, Mechanical issue's cut short Joel's running on day one.

Joel is quotes as saying,b^0x001dThis was my first time around Sebring in a Pro Mazda car, and I was very happy to see that I can run times consistently with drivers who have much more seat time than myself in the series."

"The big question these past two days at the test was tires and who is using what. It was hard to compare to different teams because everybody was using different radial tires, but I feel that we have a good balance in the car for when the Good Year radials come out for the first round at Sebring."

Rick Cameron had a good testing plan these last two days to maximize our time at the circuit. We tried many different settings which gave me a good feeling for the Mazda car in different situations."

Joel would like to thank Mazda for all their support, and is looking forward to the next test planned by JDC Motorsports. "I feel very comfortable with JDC, working with John and Rick these last 2 days have been fantastic, I know theywill make sure I run at the front for the whole championship!!!," stated Miller
