JDC MOTORSPORTS READY TO TAME ORP OVAL

Minnesota-based squad expected to challenge for both the Star Mazda and USF2000 wins at the Night Before the 500 event

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 28, 2010) - JDC MotorSports commences the oval portion of its 2010 race season this Saturday (May 29), with Round Four of the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear and Round Three of the Cooper Tires presents the USF2000 National Championship powered by Mazda at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indiana. As part of the famed Night Before the 500 event, Connor De Phillippi, Caio Lara and Chris Miller will return to the cockpits of their Star Mazda cars, while Mikhail Goikhberg and Raphael Abbate will race their USF2000 entries.

A proven race-winning and championship-winning team, JDC MotorSports will be looking to add formula car oval race wins to its already impressive racing resume on Saturday. Given the teams performances thus far in both the Star Mazda Championship and USF2000 National Championship, combined with strong showings in pre-event oval testing, many believe the JDC racers are poised to make their mark at ORP.

De Phillippi has enjoyed a strong run of late in the Star Mazda Championship, with the MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver finishing fourth in Round Three at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, taking over the Rookie of the Year lead. Add in the fact the Californian finished fourth and fifth in the two days of testing at ORP earlier in the month, and the No. 11 MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development/Justice Brothers/Sparco/Rock View Farms/Oakley/Power Balance/Reline Athletic/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports entry is expected to be battling for the win come race time in Indiana.

Lara enters the fourth event on the Star Mazda calendar once again challenging for championship honors. Mr. Consistent - finishing among the top-10 in 14 of 16 races over the past year - the No. 19 MLD/ATW/Molecule/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports racer already has a podium finish on his 2010 resume and is more than capable of exiting the Night Before the 500 with his first series victory.

Another member of the talented Star Mazda rookie field, Miller is continually getting stronger each time he gets behind the wheel. Piloting the No. 85 Miller Milling/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports entry, the Minnesota native looks set to improve on his series best seventh place finish in Round Three, having shown good pace in oval testing.

Goikhberg is perhaps the hottest driver under the JDC awning. The Russian born driver travels to his first-ever oval race in Indiana riding a wave of confidence, after scoring two USF2000 Championship class wins in the non-points doubleheader at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca this past weekend (May 22-23). Add in top-five runs in oval testing at ORP, and the No. 10 Chetverg/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports is one of the favorites for glory in Round Three.

Making his North American racing debut in 2010 with JDC, Abbate has quickly established himself as a driver with the speed and skill to challenge for top honors on any given weekend. Driving the No. 11 Alphacolor/Avery Denison/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports entry, the Brazilian showed good pace in his inaugural oval outing, during series testing earlier in the month at ORP.
