IT'S THE DALY TRIPLE FOR STAR MAZDA CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY GOODYEAR

CLERMONT, Ind. (June 1, 2010) -- Conor Daly won his third straight race in the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear when he took victory in the NOS Energy Drink Night Before the 500 race at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis.

Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the Star Mazda Championship, program's the national championship series, as well as for regional touring series for the same cars. The Championship has become one of the most important development programs for aspiring open-wheel racers. Goodyear supplies Goodyear Eagle radials for the series competitors.

The race at ORP was slowed by a caution period at the start of the race and by one at the end of the event, but no others. The 125-lap race was the first for the Star Mazda Championship at the .626-mile oval venue.

Mikael Grenier finished second, followed by Joao Horta, Rusty Mitchell and Anders Kron. Grenier won the pole position with a lap averaging 119.506 mph. Daly's race average was 105.744 mph.
