Adulaziz turns on power to grab pole position in Saudi
Riyadh. Saudi Arabia's defending champion, Prince Abdulaziz Al Faisal, made a decisive move to claim pole position for the Round 5 of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East at Reem International Circuit outside Riyadh this afternoon.
Prince Abdulaziz was fastest in qualifying with a time of 1:16.915, just edging out Saudi teenager Fahad Algosaibi, 1:16.986. Bahrain's championship leader, Sheikh Salman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who had been quickest in two earlier practice sessions, was third fastest in 1:17.493.
Saudi Bandar Alireza, 1:17.735, Abu Dhabi's Khaled Al Qubaisi, 1:17.913, and another Saudi driver, Bandar Alesayi, 1:18.216, completed the top six.
