The international racer Christophe Tinseau will compete in 2006 in the French Carrera Cup with the new Porsche 997 Cup for Daniel Droit Racing team.

The 37 year old, originary from the Centre of France has a huge racing experience, having successfully raced in single seaters, endurance and even Rally-Raids. The ex-3000 race winner with Apomatox and works driver for Dams, Cadillac, Courage and Oreca drove in the last years in different endurance series in Europe and in the US (LMES, ALMS, Grand Am, Fia GT, Le Mans 24 hours).

"I am really happy with this opportunity to run the new 997. My main goal is to win the Trophy. I know that it will not be easy and that the battle will be very tough. I haven't raced sprint events since a while but it will be great to find this feeling again" said Christophe.

As for Daniel Droit, the team manager, he didn't miss the chance to show his enjoyment: "Christophe is a top driver with a huge racing experience. He can bring a lot to the team from his international experience and this could obviously help us working on the car's setup and development. This is important as with the brand new Porsches, everyone will start at the same level. We will do our best to be on top this year".

The first two rounds of the French Carrera Cup will take place at mid-April at Nogaro at the same time with the French GT and the French Formula Renault (Super Serie FFSA).
