Carrera Cup: Lacko Waits For Favorite Norisring

A one-month break in Porsche Carrera driving is over and Adam Lacko is headed for the cockpit of Farnbacher Racing's car again. Lacko will return this weekend at Norisring, a circuit called "German Monaco" for its city profile. The championship of identical vehicles has its fourth racing weekend with the format back to one Sunday race - after the Lausitzring double race.

During the break, Lacko made a foray in Le Mans where he watched his friend Jan Charouz and other Czech pilots vie in the legendary 24-hour race. He also enjoyed some good racing in the International Czech Championship in Circuit Racing with the O2 Mercedes Benz AMG C DTM car, having won the three-hour endurance contest. His cockpit-mates were Antonin Charouz and Stefan Muecke of Germany.

Lacko tasted Norisring no more than once, last year, but he quickly grew fond of the short, narrow circuit. He doesn't fear the forecasted hot weather, either, which usually accompanies the races traditionally held in June and July. The fourth event of the Porsche Carrera Cup will also be part of the prestigious DTM series.

Adam Lacko: "I didn't have a good run at Lausitzring, although the car was excellent in the second race. I was hit and the game was over. I hope it gets better now in Nurenberg. I took a fancy to the track during my debut there last year, also with Porsche Carrera. The competition will again be very strong, some forty drivers; however, I hope for top ten."
