ROUND 5, QUEENSLAND RACEWAY, QLD

The inquiry was reconvened on Friday July 23 regarding contact between car #8, Tony Quinn, and car #7, Rodney Jane, during the first lap of race 2. Stewards found that there was insufficient evidence to support a breach of the Rules.

The inquiry was reconvened regarding the first lap incident before turn 1 in race 2 involving contact between car #44, Roger Oakeshott, car #24, Stephen Borness, and car #69, David Thexton. Stewards found that there was insufficient evidence to support a breach of the Rules by the drivers concerned.

The inquiry reconvened into an incident between car #2 James Cressey, and car #3, Peter Fitzgerald in which contact was made between the two vehicles during race 2. The Stewards found that car #2 had breached the Code of Driving Conduct and a penalty of $1500 was applied.

ROUND 6, WINTON RACEWAY, VIC

A charge inquiry was conducted into a report that during practice car #15 Charlie O'Brien was in breach of Series Regulation 12.1.1, in using new tyres for practice. After admitting an unintentional breach of the Rules, the Stewards applied the penalty that car #15's qualifying session would be reduced by 10 minutes.

A charge inquiry was conducted into a report following post qualifying scrutiny that car #2, James Cressey, was in breach of Series Regulation 8.1, not meeting the requirements relating to ride height. After admitting to the breach of Rules, the Stewards applied a penalty that car #2's qualifying times were disallowed and car #2 would start race 1 from the rear of grid.

An inquiry commenced into an incident between car #55 Fabian Coulthard and car #96 Matt Halliday, in which contact was made between the two vehicles during race 1. The Stewards found that car #55 had breached the Code of Driving Conduct and a penalty applied to reverse the finishing order so that car #96 now finished ahead of car #55

An inquiry is to be convened at the next round, Sandown Raceway into an incident between car # 8, Tony Quinn and car #66 Peter Hill in race 3.
