David Wall set for Indy Finale!

David Wall hit the streets of Surfers Paradise tomorrow to start the final round of the Carrera Cup Australia at the Nikon Indy 300.

After a disastrous round at Bathurst just two weeks ago, David can not wait to put that behind him and climb back up the championship ladder.

"Being hit in two of the three races at Bathurst has hurt us in the championship battle, but with a good weekend here we can jump a few places," said David in the lead up to the final round.

"Indy is an amazing place for the finale of our championship -- the place has a buzz about it and the crowds are huge!

"The track is really challenging; the concrete barriers around the circuit make it a daunting place to race, but if you get it right it feels great!"

The round gets off to a frantic start for the Carrera Cup competitors with practice at 10:30am, qualifying at 1:45pm and the first race being held at 4:20pm tomorrow.

"Keeping out of trouble is very important at this track and the key to this is to qualify well," said David.

"The last thing the team needs is to be working on the car in the very short break between qualifying and the first race."

Race two will be televised live as a part of Seven's Saturday coverage of the Nikon Indy 300.
