Spanish Formula Junior 1600 Championship

Matteo Bobbi, first leader in the Fórmula Nissan 2000 The Italian Matteo Bobbi (Vergani Racing) is the first leader in the Fórmula Nissan 2000 thanks to his splendid third place achieved today in the second race. The Minardi F1 test driver won the first race yesterday and now has an important advantage in the championship points. The second race had a local winner, Santiago Porteiro (Repsol Meycom), which achieved a time of 25:41.150 taking an advantage of 12 second towards José Manuel Pérez-Aicart (Escuela Lois Circuit) and Bobbi.

In the provisional classification, Bobbi leads with 34 points, followed by Borja García (the driver was second yesterday and finished fifth today) and Pérez-Aicart, both with 23 points; Porteiro and Juan A. Del Pino (Repsol Meycom) both have 22 points.

Adrián Vallés leads the Spanish Formula Junior 1600 Championship The Spanish Formula Junior 1600 Championship Junior, the first competition step in the Telefónica World Series by Nissan, has in the 15 year old driver, Adrián Vallés (Escuela Lois Circuit), its first leader. Vallés, from Valencia, timed 21:06.136. Vallés clearly led the race this morning. Roldán Rodríguez (Porfesa Competición) and Marc Carol (RACC Motor Sport) completed the podium. In the overall, Valles has 37 points, and the Italian Orecchioni is second with 20 points, like Marc Carol.

The next meeting will take place at Jarama (Madrid) the next 8 and 9 of June.
