Title decider - down to the wire.
Banbury, UK, Friday 11th October 2002: The final weekend of racing in the NDS EuroBOSS Series at Le Mans (26th/27th October) will provide a fitting climax to an exciting season of highly competitive racing. Three challengers are still able to secure the Series title, Team Ascari drivers Klaas Zwart and Phil Andrews, along with Earl Goddard from Kockney Koi Yamitsu. Each will be racing hard to prove that they are the rightful successor to be crowned the most successful driver in the 2002 Series.
On current form Goddard reigns supreme, winning the past four races. Goddard's recent dominant driving display has lifted the 22 year old South African to second place in the standings, just 8 points behind Dutchman Zwart. Birmingham-based Andrews, driving an Ascari Judd V10, is looking to build on his performance of third place at the previous race and regain some of the early season racing prowess which saw him take victory in rounds 1 and 2.
There will be races on both Saturday and Sunday, Saturday's race effectively replaces the German round which was unfortunately cancelled earlier this month. Going into the last two rounds the Series leaders are:
1st Klaas Zwart, 70 points
2nd Earl Goddard, 62 points
3rd Phil Andrews, 54 points
4th Harri Toivonen, 37 points
5th Karl-Heinz Becker, 26 points
