FINAL BARBER DODGE PRO SERIES PRACTICE
WILL LANGHORNE (#7 Racing against MS) -- Yesterday we broke a gearbox, so we had to replace that. I raced here last year in the amateur series, but these cars are a different beast. I like the track. There are a lot of wide, sweeping turns, and the loop, where you can go really fast.
ROCKY MORAN JR. (#71 Shultz Steel Co.) -- I was tenth yesterday. We were way off with the setup. We're still going to make a few aerodynamic changes, I think.
TONY RENNA (#9 Co-rookie of the year 1996) -- I've definitely had some lows this year, but I've had some good results, too. A couple of seconds, which means there's only one move to make, and that's to first. Hopefully that's going to come up pretty soon. Last year here, I was running in second, and I made a pass for the lead, but then they brought out the yellow, and they put the guy in front of me back ahead. When the race restarted, we had 10 car lengths on everybody else and I was feeling really good, and I knew I was going to get past. I was just biding my time, and then somebody blew a motor in turn 10, and four people went off, and one of them was me. Iwas here not too long ago - I did the six hour race, and we did well. It was a good opportunity to get back on the track. I feel pretty good. We'll make some minor changes, but I think we've got it figured out.
