Full Field Again for Barber Dodge; Jo Siffert's Son Makes His U.S. Debut

LAKEVILLE, Conn. (June 11) - For the sixth straight race, the Barber Dodge Pro Series will have a full field of competitors. Round six, the season's halfway point, is June 30 at Watkins Glen International (NASCAR Short Course), supporting the Lysol 200 Busch Grand National race. "We've sold every seat this year," says Rick Ratajczak, Barber Dodge driver relations manager, "and I've got a waiting list for Watkins Glen. Even the overseas drivers know its history and want to race here."

Watkins Glen is where Fredrik Larsson, on a three-race win streak and the current points leader, earned his first Barber Dodge pole position.

With two sons of former Formula 1 drivers already competing in Barber Dodge this year--Jeff Bucknum, son of Ronnie Bucknum, and Derek Hill, son of 1961 WorldChampion Phil Hill--a third joins the field at Watkins Glen. Phillipe Siffert is the son of Jo Siffert. Phillipe, 22, has open-wheel experience in Europe and raced at Le Mans in 1995,and is making his American debut in Barber Dodge at The Glen.
