SIMMONS ON POLE AGAIN WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 27, from Rick Roso) - Jeff Simmons of E. Granby, Conn., picked up right where he left off, as the 21-year-old took his second consecutive pole position, for round four of the Barber Dodge Pro Series at Watkins Glen International, turning a lap of 1:15.422 on the NASCAR ''short course.''. Two weeks ago, Simmons took the pole then won the race at the Detroit Grand Prix. Californian Rocky Moran, Jr., matched his career best qualifying position of second, turning a 1:15.597, while series rookie Nilton Rossoni of Brazil was third quickest at 1:15.602. Points leader Todd Snyder qualified a season-worst 10th, while defending race winner Rino Mastronardi will start sixth. The first 18 drivers qualified within one second of each other. Green flag for Sunday's race is 9:45 a.m. local time.
