NEW YORK, N.Y., August 11. Tommy Hilfiger, the leading designer of classic All-American clothing, announced today that his company will assist young American race driver Derek Hill with his future racing endeavors.

Derek Hill is competing in the 1997 Barber Dodge Pro Series Championship, where he's scored three wins so far this year and is leading the series championship. He also drives a PTG/Yokohama BMW M3 in SportsCar's Exxon Supreme GT Series presented by Virgin Interactive, scoring three wins including in the classic American races at Daytona and Sebring. In the McMillin Motorsports Ltd./J.J. Crisp BMW 328is in SportsCar's Speedvision Cup, he has scored three second places in four races. His career goals include the top levels of international open wheel racing.
