He sang about not being able to drive 55, and on June 23 he won't have to. As part of the Valvoline Online Racing Auction on eBay benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters, Sammy Hagar will participate in a Skip Barber Three Day Racing School at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, Calif. Joining Hagar will be the highest bidder in the online auction who paid over $3000 to take part in the racing school action with Hagar as a classmate. The proceeds from the sale of the Three Day Racing School will help to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA).

BBBSA is a school based mentoring program. BBBSA has been America's most widely known youth mentoring organization for almost 100 years. Studies show programs such as this significantly increase students' attitudes toward their education, peers, adults and themselves. Volunteer Big Brothers and Sisters have influenced the lives of millions of children across the country by serving as friends and mentors to children who primarily come from single-parent homes.

Valvoline's "Caring Hands" partnership with the BBBSA hopes to raise $1 million in support along with recruiting 10,000 new volunteer Big Brothers and Sisters for the organization.

Valvoline is the official lubricants supplier to Skip Barber Racing School, Inc., including the Barber Dodge Pro Series, the Dodge/Skip Barber Driving School, the Formula Dodge Regional Championship and the Formula Dodge National Championship Presented by RACER.
