Fresh off his Skip Barber Formula Dodge Western Race Series Master’s Championship victory, Quentin Wahl scored a debut win in the North American Ferrari Challenge series. Racing in the new class for the 360 Modena, Wahl battled through a quick field to score the win in his maiden attempt at the Pikes Peak Raceway in Pikes Peak, Col.

But his was not the only success for Skip Barber trained drivers at the event which pits lady and gentleman racers against one another in identically prepared Ferrari 360 Modena or in a separate class for the older but no less wonderful F355.

For the first time in the history of the series two ladies graced the podium. Wahl’s wife Sara, also a savvy Skip Barber Race Series veteran in her own right came in second followed by current Barber Dodge Pro Series driver Milka Duno in third. Both raced in the F355 class.

Any chance of a repeat performance for the three on the second day of racing was put to rest when inclement weather struck the Rocky Mountain racetrack; thus, canceling the day’s racing.
