Story and Agate Hill Again On Pole LIME ROCK, Conn. (May 24, from Rick Roso) - Derek Hill, the 22-year-old son of 1961 World Champion Phil Hill, took the pole position for Monday’s barber Dodge Pro Series race at Lime Rock Park,, the 1.54-mile road course celebrating its 40th anniversary. It is the second consecutive pole position for the Santa Monica, Calif., native, who took the pole and won last week in Savannah, Ga. Points leader Rino Mastronardi of Italy waited till the final two minutes before turning a lap less than three-10ths slower than Hill'’s to take the second qualifying position. Andy Boss, younger brother of CART Indy Lights driver Geoff Boss, will start third. I love driving these Barber Dodges, particularly here at Lime Rock, Hill said. "This is one of my favorite tracks in the world. To be fast here, you can’t scrub off one bit of speed. If you do it just right, you’ll be fast. Hill, 10 points behind Mastronardi in the championship, scored his first Barber Dodge victory at Lime Rock Park in October of 1996. The 30-minute Barber Dodge Pro Series race from Lime Rock Park starts at 10:45 a.m. Eastern on Monday and will be televised on ESPN2 Sunday, June 15 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern.
