Mastronardi Wins Fifth Race of the Year MONTEREY, Calif. (Sept. 7, from Rick Roso) - Rino Mastronardi lost the lead to Derek Hill on lap four but took it back seven laps later and cruised to win his fifth Barber Dodge Pro Series race of the year and increase his lead in the championship standings by six over Hill. Polesitter Chris Menninga put two wheels off in turn three at the start and fell to sixth place but recovered to finish second, just ahead of Hill.
