As spring approaches so does the 2000 season at Lime Rock Park and Laguna Seca. And a new season means new vehicles. So it's out with the old and in with the new.

Both locations are now in the process of receiving their 2000 model Dodge Neon ES and Dodge Dakota Quad Cab pickup trucks. If that's not exciting enough, bear in mind that the culmination of all that braking, slalom, and skid pad driving is an autocross thrill-ride in a Dodge Viper. For 2000, it's not just any Viper, but a lighter, faster more powerful Dodge Viper ACR. The ACR has taken Dodge's most powerful product and turned it up a notch. It features lighter curb weight through the loss of an air conditioner and radio and an added 10 hp under the hood, boosting it to 460 bhp. In order to stop all that power, the ACR sports larger, more powerful brakes, and to handle the power through the turns, bigger, lighter 18" wheels coupled with an adjustable damper package.
