Thrilled, Frisselle stated, "After practice yesterday, I felt confident in my ability to master the track despite the wet conditions. Group 1 Race 1
Position Started: 1st
Position Finished: 2nd
Fastest Lap Time: 1:30.835

Race Notes: Frisselle started strong in Saturday afternoon's race, leading the first seven of fifteen laps. Richard Schmidt charged Frisselle from P2 mid-race, challenging him for P1 and gaining the lead. Young Frisselle retaliated, reclaiming P1 on the same lap. Schmidt battled back, taking the lead and maintaining P1 for the remainder of the race. Frisselle stated, "Today's race was great. I was disappointed that I was unable to maintain P1 and take the checkered flag, but battling with such a talented competitor was a great challenge and a lot of fun. I am very happy with my performance today."

Group 1 Race 2
Position Started: 2nd
Position Finished: 8th
Fastest Lap Time: 1:27.847

Race Notes: Frisselle came out strong on Sunday's race, passing P1 Richard Schmidt in the first corner of lap one. Schmidt regained the lead and held on until lap seven, when young Frisselle charged and claimed P1. The young rookie from Hawaii maintained the lead for nine laps, keeping more experienced driver Schmidt at bay. A yellow flag bunched the group together, and Frisselle had a solid re-start. The young rookie pushed hard and overshot turn nine, causing him to go four-off. Frisselle came in for his obligatory four-off pit stop on the white flag lap, allowing him to salvage an eighth place finish. While disappointed in his finish, Frisselle was thrilled that he earned the track record for the fastest lap, a first for him in the Series. "I was hoping to claim a win today, but unfortunately was unable to do so. However, I feel that I had a great race and a great weekend. And claiming my first track record in the Series in today's race feels awesome!"

Additional Notes:

Burt Frisselle, older brother to Brian, spent most of the weekend on the radio coaching young Brian. However, in Sunday's warm-up session, Burt jumped into a car and executed the fastest lap of the field, a 1:28.057. Later that afternoon, the Frisselle brothers battled it out in an Enduro race. Burt Frisselle teamed with Robbie Montinola and Brian Frisselle joined forces with Michael Miller. The two teams employed different racing strategies, and engaged in a competitive race. In the end, the elder Frisselle and Montinola were victorious, with Brian and Michael Miller coming home in second. Both Frisselle brothers stated that they had a great time racing against one another in friendly competition, and complimented each other on solid racing and strategy.
