Pietro Fittipaldi's BF4 event at Silverstone was extra special

In his British F4 weekend at Silverstone, the grandson of Emerson Fittipaldi alongside him for the first time in his European adventure in open-wheel racing.

First Race (Start: 11th - Finish: 6th): After being 2nd quickest in the last session of practice on Friday our engine overheated. Before qualifying on Saturday we were discussing the possibility of changing the engine for the race weekend. The team ended up not changing the Engine which hurt us a bit in qualifying.

After qualifying 11th and 12th the team took the engine apart to try to find the problem with it. What happened was that the engine did not get to temperature during the qualifying runs. I started 11th in the first race and passed a lot of cars making my way up to 6th.

It was a very important weekend for me because it was the first time my grandfather came to watch me drive an open-wheel car. It was very nice to have him there with me and giving me advice throughout the weekend. Furthermore, I ended up finishing 8th in the Formula Renault BARC points championship.

I am very pleased with this result since it was my first year here in Europe and also my first year driving these types of cars! I want to thank all of you so much for making this happen and giving me the opportunity to be here doing what I love to do.
