Albacete, Spain, 16 June.- Current series leader Antonio Garcia, Frenchman Patrice Gay and Spaniard Angel Burgueno finished in top-three positions today in collective practices prior to the Open Telefonica fourth Event to be held this weekend at Albacete. The gap between Garcia (1.21.459) and team mate Gay was 0.380 seconds and 0.391 ahead of Burgueno. Bad luck today for Portuguese Rui Aguas: Venturini Racing driver could only finish eighth with several setup problems.

Four newcomers: Jerome Dalla Lana (11th), the best today

The 22-year old driver (Epsilon by Graff) clocked 1.22.977 but, on the other hand, the rest of new drivers are still to get used to the 250 bhp Coloni Nissan single seater. Italian Giovanni Anapoli (Ergoline EC Motorsport) was 19th, Portuguese Paulo Alho (Scuderia Fama) 21th and Frenchman Philippe Benoliel (TCR Formax) was 22th. Qualifiers will take place tomorrow Saturday at 10.00 and 13.00 hours local time.
