(February 28, 2000) - Tommy Constantine, of Scottsdale, Ariz., has signed with Primus Racing to contest the 2000 U.S. F2000 National Championship Presented by Speedvision. Constantine joins two-time defending champion Primus Racing after running his rookie season last year with Transatlantic Racing and Key Motorsports. A part-owner in the Northern Light Indy Racing League Galles ECR Racing team, Constantine hopes to challenge for the Championship driving the No. 5 Tickets.com/Mexmil Van Diemen Ford. "I am very excited about racing with a top-notch team like Primus Racing in 2000," said Constantine. "The combination of Primus Racing's expertise and the resources I have from Galles ECR Racing give me the best opportunity thus far to win races and challenge for the title in F2000." One of the benefits of being a part owner in Galles ECR Racing is having team drivers Davey Hamilton and Al Unser Jr. available to spot and provide coaching. "Al Unser Jr. has proven himself as one of the best drivers in the world over the past two decades, and his experience will be paramount in my development as a driver," added Constantine. The U.S. F2000 National Championships season starts March 19 at Phoenix International Raceway.
