Formula Star Mazda driver, Luis Schiavo, completed a two-day test at the Roebling Road Raceway in Bloomingdale, Georgia this week.

Luis ran in a 2001 spec car and despite the rain continually interrupting both test days, Luis' best lap of 1:07:6 gave him the second fastest time overall, just one-tenth from the fastest time.

Throughout the test Luis impressed everyone in the team with his ability to adapt quickly to a new car, new track and ever-changing conditions. Martin Bates, Team Manager stated, "I am very impressed with Luis. The Van Dieman is very different to his Formula Mazda car and he made full use of it. He handled the changing condition with ease and by the end of day two he was by far the quickest driver out there." Luis Schiavo

"Roquin Motorsport was organized and also very competitive. Team Manager, Martin Bates and Engineer, John Mullen, were very well prepared and I could easily understand what they were explaining to me. Roquin created a comfortable environment and I feel that this was one of the best opportunities I have had in my career in racing. I thank Roquin Motorsport for trusting me and for making the test in Savannah a successful one!"
