ANDY BRUMBAUGH held a fifth place position until lap 17 when a full-course yellow closed the field nose-to-tail. At the restart, Andy was unable to communicate with his team, as the radio was not functioning. Andy saw his fifth place suddenly become the end of a freight train as lapped cars held up his restart. Several cars, including his teammate were able to get past the blocked #86 car. It was an unfortunate finish for the 18 year-old driver from Blythewood, SC.

Andy starts seventh for Race 2 on Friday morning. After Friday morning's race, Brumbaugh, the 18 year-old driver from Blythewood, SC, will fly to Florida for a Barber Dodge Pro test in preparation for running the last Barber Dodge race of the season. That race is to be held in November in Monterrey, Mexico. "I'm looking forward to the race. It will be a new experience for me and should open more doors for me."
