Andy Brumbaugh finished a respectable 8th in Race 2 of the Road Atlanta weekend event for the Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship. "I knew the race would be tough since several good drivers were starting behind me due to poor qualifying. The car was pretty close to what we needed it to be but the rain last night really slowed the pace down. I was closing in on Travis (Irving) but we just ran out of laps."

The final two races of the Zetec Championship will be held in two weeks at VIR. Brumbaugh is looking forward to another opportunity to compete in this competitive series.

Brumbaugh, the 18 year-old driver from Blythewood, SC, will now fly to Florida for a Barber Dodge Pro test on Saturday in preparation for running the last Barber Dodge race of the season. That race is to be held in November in Monterrey, Mexico.
