FAIRFIELD, N.J. (September 25, 2000)-U.S. F2000 National Championship title hopeful, Aaron Justus, won the Road To Indy Oval Crown Championship at Indianapolis Raceway Park this weekend.

Justus, entered the final round of the three-race Oval Crown Championship needing only an eighth-place finish or better to clinch the championship. With the win, Justus not only secured the title, but nearly completed a perfect oval crown championship. Justus, won all three races, captured all three poles with new lap records, posted two fastest race laps and led 148 of the 150 laps. In addition, Justus becomes only the second-ever driver to win every round of a United States Auto Club sanctioned championship. Jeff Andretti, son of legendary Mario Andretti, accomplished the feat in the 1983 USAC Pro Ford Championship.

Justus, of Crestline, Calif., looks to continue his winning ways September 29-30, at Road Atlanta in the season-finale double header. He currently holds a 56 point advantage over 1999 U.S. F2000 runner-up Marc-Antoine Camirand. A 15th place or better finish in the first race at Road Atlanta will secure Justus the National Championship.

Justus historic win at IRP can be seen on the Speedvision Network, Monday, October 16 at 10:00 p.m. (ET). Both rounds at Road Atlanta will be televised on a tape-delayed basis Friday, October 20 at 9:00 p.m. (ET).
