Team to make return to two-liter championship with experienced karter

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (January 23, 2008) - In preparation for the 2008 F2000 Championship Series season, JDC MotorSports has announced the signing of national level kart racer Chris Miller to their squad. As part of JDC MotorSports' return to Formula Ford 2000 competition and debut in the successful F2000 Championship Series, Miller will contest the entire 14-race schedule behind the wheel of a Zetec-powered Van Diemen RF06. The signing of the young pilot reunites JDC team owner John Church with the Miller family, having previously worked with John Miller in Formula Ford 2000 competition back in the early 1990s. Having recently tested with the team at Sebring International Raceway, Miller will be part a two-car effort by JDC in the F2000 Championship Series.

"We are excited to have Chris Miller on-board for our return to F2000 competition this season," stated Team Owner John Church. "I've known his father for a long-time, having helped me with my own racing endeavors back in 1994. Chris has done a great job of getting up to speed in the Zetec car, so I'm confident about the upcoming season."

A native of Edina, MN, Miller enters the F2000 Championship Series having competed in the karting ranks for nearly a decade. Progressing from local club racing to national competition, the 18 year-old piloted an Intercontinental C shifterkart in the Stars of Karting championship last year. Miller made the move to open wheel cars last season as well, gaining valuable seat time behind the wheel of a Formula Continental entry in SCCA Club Racing action.

"I'm looking forward to racing in the F2000 Championship Series with JDC Motorsports this coming year," said Miller. "I've known John and most of the people at JDC for most of my life, so working with them was an obvious choice. They've been successful in every series which they have run and I'm excited to be a part of that success as they return to the F2000 series. I'm extremely impressed with their professionalism and knowledge, and know that we can achieve some good results and constantly improve throughout the season."

Based in Minnesota, JDC MotorSports has quickly established itself as one of the top junior-open wheel teams in North America. The team will be returning to Formula Ford 2000 competition this coming season following a brief hiatus from the class while they built their championship-winning Star Mazda team. Previously in the Formula Ford 2000 Zetec Championship, JDC MotorSports captured multiple victories, and developed a reputation for developing talented young drivers. In addition to racing the F2000 Championship Series this coming season, JDC will field a multi-car team in the Star Mazda Championship, seeking its second consecutive series title, having won both driver and team championship via a series-high three wins.

Miller and JDC MotorSports will continue their preparations for the 2008 campaign, with further pre-season testing scheduled in the coming weeks. The F2000 Championship Series season commences on April 12-13 with Rounds one and Two at Virginia International Raceway.
