JDC MOTORSPORTS REJOINS F2000 CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES AT ROAD AMERICA
Goikhberg and Kraut will use Rounds 11 and 12 to get extra track time at Wisconsin road course

MINNEAPOLIS, MN. (August 5, 2010) - Junior formula car standout JDC MotorSports rejoins the F2000 Championship Series this weekend (August 7-8), with a two-car effort in Rounds 11 and 12 at Road America. USF2000 National Championship title contender Mikhail Goikhberg and Star Mazda Masters champion Gerry Kraut will get behind the wheel during the doubleheader, seeking to gain not only added track time at the famed Wisconsin road course, but also challenge for top honors.

Some three months after last taking part in an F2000 Championship Series event at Road Atlanta, a pair of JDC MotorSports prepared Van Diemens will again be part of the mix when the highly competitive field takes to the renowned Road America road course. While the primarily reason for entering the doubleheader is for both Goikhberg and Kraut to gain added track time ahead of their respective USF2000 and Star Mazda races at the same 4.0-mile track later in the month, both drivers are more than capable of running near the front and challenging for podium results.

The Russian born Goikhberg, who now resides in Canada, enters the Wisconsin doubleheader having quickly developed into a leading pro F2000 race pilot. The No. 10 Chetverg/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports driver has not only captured four podium finishes - consecutive - in the past six USF2000 National Championship races, but has also scored a win in a pro non-points Formula Ford 2000 race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California.

While Kraut is a relative newcomer to pro F2000 competition - having only previously contested two races - the Star Mazda Championship veteran has shown he has the speed and skill to run up front. Piloting the No. 55 Dougherty and Co./Dougherty Funding LLC/Red Line Oil/JDC MotorSports entry, the Minnesota native will be seeking to improve on his impressive sixth place result - fourth among the Masters contingent - scored during his F2000 Championship Series debut event in Georgia.

The F2000 Championship Series doubleheader at Road America commences for the JDC MotorSports duo on Friday (August 6) with two practice sessions. Qualifying for Round 11 will take place on Saturday morning, followed by the 30-minute race later in the day. The same format will be followed on Sunday (August 8), with Round 12 scheduled to get underway late in the afternoon.
