Brian Graham Racing Offers Free Formula Ford Zetec Test
BARRIE, ONT., CAN. (January 5, 2005) - Brian Graham Racing has announced it will provide a free Formula Ford Zetec test to Shane Jantzi, of Ayr, Ont. The test will take place at Mosport International Raceway in late April.
For the second consecutive year, Barrie based Brian Graham Racing is providing a free test to the Ontario F1600 Challenge champion. Driving a 160 horsepower Formula Ford Zetec Van Diemen RF01, Jantzi will receiving technical feedback and coaching throughout the test on the 2.459-mile road course.
"I'm very pleased to provide Shane with the opportunity to test a Formula Ford Zetec car," said team owner Brian Graham. "Over the past few years Shane has developed into a championship winning driver. I'm looking forward to working with him and getting his impressions of the Zetec car. I'm sure he'll be quick."
As a family run team, Jantzi contested 10 of the 11 rounds of the Ontario F1600 Challenge in 2004. Driving a 1998 Van Diemen, Jantzi won six races and finished on the podium in all 10 races. The championship is Jantzi's second in three years, after finishing as runner-up in 2003.
A leading open-wheel race prep shop in Canada, Brian Graham Racing has been in operation since in 1998. Building on its success as a Formula Ford race winner and champion, the team has recently expanded to a four-car effort. Racing throughout North America, the team is scheduled to contest races in the Formula Ford Zetec Championship, Star Mazda Series, Ontario F1600 Challenge Series, as well Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs and Sports Car Club of America events in 2005. Busy preparing for the upcoming season, Brian Graham Racing is currently seeking additional drivers.
