ROBERT LA ROCCA TO UTILIZE RALPH FIRMAN CAR IN F2000 PROGRAM

"La Rocca is amped and ready for the 2011 season"

January 16, 2011 -- Heading into the 2011 racing season, Venezuelan pilot Robert La Rocca had already confirmed his participation in the United States F2000. The talented Florida resident had also already confirmed his team but, the last and final piece to the puzzle was the announcement of the car. The up-and-coming open wheel star is pleased to announce that he will compete in a Ralph Firman Racing F2000 car in 2011.

"I was excited just know that I would have the chance to race in the F2000 Series in 2011, but now that we have all the pieces to our puzzle in place, I can't wait to get started," expressed La Rocca. "The team has been hard at work, and we have been competing regionally for the past few months with great results. The team and I look to carry the momentum gained into the national campaign in a few weeks time."

With the car already in the production stages, La Rocca's team, HP-Tech Motorsport have received the engine package last week and is expecting the transmission this coming week. When all is said and done, La Rocca plans to be on track later this month to begin testing.

With an intense testing program planned, La Rocca and HP-Tech Motorsport will start off at the Palm Beach International Raceway to shake down his new ride. From there, La Rocca will continue his testing schedule at both the Homestead Miami Speedway and Sebring International Raceway in February before the start of the season.

La Rocca continued, "I have been hard at work with my training regimen during the off season and preparing myself for this season. I feel that personally, I am ready to go and challenge for the overall series title."
