Mortlock aims Arrows at EuroBOSS motor racing crown.
Cambridge-based Formula 1 car racer to compete in Europe's fastest motor racing series.

Cambridge, UK - 18 March, 2003 - Cambridge-based entrepreneur and racing driver, Matthew Mortlock, has confirmed that he will once again take to the wheel of his 1992 Footwork Arrows FA13 car when he competes in the 2003 EuroBOSS Championship. The Racing Team Arrows FA13 is one of the most powerful cars on the circuit and is the car in which Mortlock set the new outright lap record at Brands Hatch in last seasons EuroBOSS campaign. Last year, Mortlock scored a number of podium finishes including the races at Brands Hatch in UK, Most in Czech Republic, and Le Mans in France. This year, Mortlock is aiming his Arrows at race wins.

Michele Alboreto originally drove Mortlock's car for the Footwork Mugen Honda team in the 1992 FIA Formula 1 championship. That season, the car was fitted with a Mugen-Honda 3.5L V10 and Michele finished 10th in the Drivers Championship. Designed by Alan Jenkins, the car was highly reliable and failed to finish only at the Belgian and Australian Grand Prix. Michele Alboreto scored 6 World Championship points with this FA-13 chassis, finishing 5th in the Grand Prix of Spain and San Marino, and 6th in Brazil and Portugal.

Mortlock and his team are looking for additional sponsorship to support its 2003 campaign. Alongside returning support from and Cambridge-based motorsport pub The White Swan, the team has secured support from Cambridge high-technology companies ART VPS Ltd and Plastic Logic Ltd.
